FLW vs. BASS
FLW has won the battle for The Bass Federation (TBF) and we needed to vote on whether to join the Mass BASS Federation and go with the FLW and TBF alliance or to be independant. The Club voted 16-0 in favor.
The means that ALL members need to get a membership with FLW as soon as possible and get me your FLW member numbers just as we used to do with BASS. There is a number to call to get a deal of $18.75 instead of the normal price of $25 per year. You will need to mention to FLW that you are a Mass BASS club member to get the discount.
The club has already paid the TBF the $15 per person for membership that used to go to BASS as well as the money to the Mass BASS Federation.
Mass BASS Hostage Raffle
The annnual raffle that everyone is forced to buy was up again. We had a vote to have the club buy the tickets and the winnings would go to the 8 Man Team Fund. The club voted 16-0 in favor.
Long Pond Harwich Fee
There is a new charge of $100 for the use of the ramp and parking lot at Harwich now. The club voted 9-6 to have the attendees of the event pay the fees. Depending on how many show up will determine the cost per member.
Casting Kids
The Casting Kids event will still be mandatory and we need at least 3 guys to show up. The volunteers need to get in touch with one another to car pool and make sure who is going. If there are any problems call Frank Luongo immediately.
04-05 Season Banquet
The banquet will be on February 18th at 7 pm. All members and there guests are invited to attend and bring soemthing to eat, this is a pot luck dinner.I'll be posting the list of food soon, please contact Frank Luongo with what you intend to bring or myself so we can make sure we don't have 24 crock pots full of meatballs as John Faranti put it...
Bring some money as well, the raffle ticket sales will bring the 8 Man Team a nice reward as usual and your support is needed for the club. IF you can't make, please find a member who you can trust and send some raffle money in with them.
This meeting is going to replace our February meeting.
