Mashpee-Wakeby Tournament
Great Fishing!
It was a long awaited beginning of the tournament trails (for me anyway) and it started out great (again, for me at least). We had classic Cape Cod Bass tournament weather, Windy, rainy, chilly etc.. But the bite was on for big fish, and if you were in the right spot, you had a good bag. Although the controversy and suspicion is high with Bob Iodice's hog, he won the tournament with over 20lbs beating Jim Zarella who also had over 20lbs of fish. The two bigger bass of the tournament weighing in at 6.4 and 6.48 both came from Bob's boat, the smaller of the 2 being caught by the non-boater in his first tournament with Cape Cod Bass, Dave Kelly. Great job, and don't worry, we are going run chemical tests to find out if Bob put ex lax in your livewell causing the weight difference!

May Meeting
Long Pond - Harwich
All the boaters said they will be going with the exception of Jim Hickey, Dave Wojkic will probably be there but was not at the meeting to say, and Charlie also was not present to answer. A few members can't go due to prior engagements (go figure on Mother's Day), Dave Kelly I believe is one, and Stu will not be going.
The fishing should be interesting, Bob too second and was beat by Ken Nickerson on May 5th by ounces in a non-club tournament held there. Tough bites for most, but they found some nice ones, one that everyone knew about thanks to a certain big mouth *ahem*Mederous*cough* (Just kidding Bob)
Winnipesaukee
After some good arguing and bickering, we decided to leave the date, place, launch where it is. The club voted unanimously to fish there, and these new rules and regs at the lake weren't in place. But we can live with this for one tournament, and next time we will make sure we have our ducks lined up as far as whats going on at the lakes. These new rules came from the suite filed by a Ames Farm area resident, and as much as they as ludicrous, we have to follow them for at least this one tournament.
1. No Outboard Motors can be turned on until you are 150 feet away from shore, then you must idle to the black buoy at Rattlesnake Island.
2. No Launching Before 7 a.m., and boats must go around the Island to go right, no running between the Island and shore.
3. Weigh in will be at the Ramp as planned, but only 5 boats in at a time, the other boats will have to hang out at the Black Buoy until they are called in.

These rules are the most silly I have yet to see, and hopefully someone from Mass Bass, B.A.S.S, or the NH Feds will get on this an squash it before it spreads like crabs in a whore house.
